Mental Health Skills Building
Mental Health skills-building services is goal directed training to enable individuals to achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the most appropriate, least restrictive environment.
Program Goals:
To promote functional skills and appropriate behaviors in the community.
To teach activities of daily living.
To assist consumers in accessing community resources.
To develop / enhance independent living skills.
To monitor medication management.
Eligibility:
Individuals diagnosed with qualifying mental health disorders.
Residents of Dickenson County
Individuals who have experienced at least one inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.
Individual who require individualized training in acquiring basic living skills.
What we provide:
Assistance with budgeting skills.
Provides socialization and a link to the community.
Assistance with transportation needs.
Teaching daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.
Coordination with DCBHS case management services.
How Do I Get Involved:
